Cover photograph: Cryo-electron microscopy structure of human picobirnavirus (hPBV) at 2.6-Å resolution. hPBV is a double-stranded RNA virus which is broadly extended in the human population, but its pathogenicity is uncertain. The hPBV capsid is built of 60 quasisymmetric capsid protein dimers (blue and yellow) stabilized by domain swapping. Using an in vitro reversible assembly/disassembly system of hPBV, dimers and tetramers are isolated as possible assembly intermediates. (See related article at e01542-20.)
