How can I obtain permission to reuse an image (or other content) from an article published in an ASM journal?
ASM articles are covered by a variety of licenses. We encourage you to review this information to understand how you may reuse the content. ASM uses Copyright Clearance Center's Rightslink licensing solution for all permission requests.
Are ASM Journals in compliance with the deposit requirements of the NIH?
Yes, all articles published by ASM are in compliance with NIH requirements. Please see our Public Access Policy page for more information.
I purchased access to an article published in an ASM journal; how can I obtain a copy of that receipt?
Send an email with all the information you have about the transaction (e.g., date of the purchase, transaction ID, article title, etc.) to journals@asmusa.org to receive a copy of the receipt.
I cannot access an article, even though I have a subscription to the title; what should I do?
For problems accessing an article using your institution's subscription, please email asmjournals@subscriptionoffice.com.
For problems with your membership subscription, please email service@asmusa.org.
